This role is ideal for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs.

This SEND Teaching Assistant Job Role:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and EYFS.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering the National Curriculum tailored to individual needs.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress.
  • Providing one-to-one or group support as required.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment.

Required Skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Experience as a TA in UK schools, particularly Primary Schools.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum across KS1, KS2, Reception, and EYFS.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND including Autism, ADHD, complex needs and more.
