The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join thededicated faculty. Alongside delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, the successful candidate will also take on the responsibility of Head of Year, ensuring the pastoral and academic progress of a specific year group.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about both teaching and student welfare. As Head of Year, you will play a crucial role in leading your year group, supporting student well-being, promoting high standards of behaviour, and fostering a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor student progress, providing effective feedback and intervention where necessary.

  • Lead and manage a year group, overseeing behaviour, attendance, and pastoral care.

  • Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to support student development.

  • Inspire students to develop a love for English and achieve their full potential.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in English.

  • Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Proven leadership experience or a desire to take on additional responsibilities.

  • A passion for education, student welfare, and pastoral leadership.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
