Orka Financial is currently partner with a small, growing business based in Henley that is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join the team. This is a superb opportunity where you will have exposure to so many facets of the business and play an integral part during an exciting time of change and growth. This role reports into the CFO and will oversee an Accounts Assistant.
Duties will include,
Preparation of the monthly management accounts
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Manage intercompany balances
Have primary responsibility for all company banking
Support in the development and production of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
Analytical review of the company’s financial performance based on financial records
Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
Preparation of year end schedules
Preparation of statistical returns
Prepare journals to ensure costs are recognised in the correct accounting period
Responsible for Fixed Asset register and Depreciation
Maintaining financial controls and processes
Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
This is a broad, varied role that someone can really make their own. It requires someone with a solid background in management/financial accounts and can work unsupervised and use their own initiative. Strong communication skills with the ability to talk 'finance' to non-finance people is essential. Any experience with Xero accounting package is desirable.
The role is office based, based in Henley with parking. The role is paying up to £50000 dependent upon experience.
