Outsourcing Accountant - Henley, Oxfordshire - £32,000 - £42,000

Are you an experienced Outsourcing Accountant seeking a new challenge with a supportive, dynamic team? If you enjoy providing high-quality outsourced accounting services and working across a diverse range of industries, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Our client, a well-established and innovative accountancy practice, is looking for an Outsourcing Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with clients of various sizes, managing their bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT submissions with a focus on excellence.

What will you be doing?
  • Daily bookkeeping in Xero, including processing invoices and performing bank reconciliations
  • Reviewing bookkeeping prepared by junior staff and reconciling control accounts
  • Posting monthly wage journals
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns under different VAT schemes
  • Preparing and filing CIS returns
  • Liaising with clients regarding queries and submissions
  • Attending client premises to undertake bookkeeping when required
  • Providing Xero training to clients
  • Ad-hoc financial tasks as required
What do you need?
  • Recent and relevant outsourcing accounting experience, including VAT returns and control account reconciliations
  • Experience preparing management accounts (preferred, but training provided)
  • AAT qualified and Xero certified
  • Experience with Xero reporting, Datamolino, Concur, Expensify, and Fathom (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
