I'm looking to recruit a talented Head Chef for a charming gastropub in Henley-on-Thames. This lovely British restaurant is known for its exceptional, locally-sourced cuisine and warm atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Create and develop seasonal menus that highlight British culinary traditions
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Oversee inventory management and control food costs effectively
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and creative environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen role in a similar setting
- Strong knowledge of British cuisine and a passion for using fresh, local ingredients
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
