We are working with aleading Sporting Memorabilia Auction House dedicated to preserving the legacy of sports through auctions. With a strong presence in the industry,they are market leaders inauctioning rare and iconic sporting artifacts, connecting enthusiasts with pieces of sporting history.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating B2B relationships and partnerships with sporting clubs, institutions, and bodies to facilitate the hosting of auctions. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing the brand visibility and recognition of the auction house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong B2B relationships with sporting clubs, institutions, and bodies to secure partnerships for hosting auctions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the reach and impact of auctions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of auction events.
  • Utilise market research and industry insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Regularly travel to HQ in Henley on Thames for team meetings and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, preferably in the sports industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and maintaining partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to exceed targets and goals.
  • Car driver with flexibility for weekly travel to HQ in Henley on Thames.
  • Passion for sports and a deep understanding of sporting memorabilia preferred.
