Our client who are a nationwide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their Henley office. Assistant Civil Engineer Job Overview

  • Contribute to the creation of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, Service Strategy Reports, and Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) designs.
  • Assist in the design of drainage systems, road infrastructure, services, and earthworks across a range of exciting projects
  • Use AutoCAD to prepare detailed engineering drawings for a variety of projects.
  • Design foul and surface water drainage systems with MicroDrainage.
  • Carry out vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack
  • Utilize ground modelling software to design horizontal/vertical alignments and plan earthworks.
  • Collaborate with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the Environment Agency to ensure compliance and smooth project delivery.
  • Apply national design guidance to work, contributing to high-quality, well-regulated designs


Assistant Civil Engineer Job Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in a civil engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with preparing reports, such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements, allowing you to showcase your ability to communicate key project details clearly
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed engineering drawings, and keen to enhance your drafting skills on exciting projects.
  • Practical experience in the design of foul and surface water drainage systems using MicroDrainage
  • Familiarity with carrying out vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack,
  • Experience using ground modelling software to design horizontal and vertical alignments, earthworks, and more,
  • Exposure to working with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the EA
  • A good understanding of key national guidance and regulations,
