Leading Aerospace client based by Henley on Thames have a 6month initial contract opportunity for a Hardware Test Engineer to work supporting the electronics test as well as potential design work (This is not a defence company or position, the business focuses on ethical endeavors). The client are looking for an engineer who has experience using test equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, signal generators.

If you also have design competency this will be useful as there is scope to complete redeign (the design is not essential so it is still worth applying even if you do not have design experience). In addition to testing of electronic assemblies to a prescribed process using common lab test equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, PSU and power supplies) automated functional test equipment. You will be identifying and documenting failures/issues and providing support to electronics engineering to identify solutions.

You will be using basic hardware and software tools to simplify/automate testing, e.g. USB-I2C or USB-UART adapters and command line scripts. You will be performing thorough visual inspections and systematically following procedures to carry out initial power-on tests for new assemblies, ensuring proper construction and functionality supporting setup of PCBA.

The work has been QDOS assessed as OUTSIDE IR35, is paying a high rate and the client are reviewing CVs from later today for an ASAP start.
