2) The Role
As an Accounts Senior, you'll play a key role in preparing financial accounts for clients ranging from small businesses to partnerships. You'll work closely with managers and partners to deliver efficient, accurate, and compliant accounting services.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Managing client portfolios, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Assisting in preparing management accounts and financial statements.
- Preparing and submitting corporate and personal tax returns, as well as VAT returns.
- Providing clients with accounting and tax-related advice.
- Supervising junior staff and reviewing their work.
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting and tax legislation.
- Assisting with ad-hoc project work as required.

3) About You
To be successful, you should ideally be a part-qualified accountant with practice experience. You’ll need a solid understanding of UK accounting principles, tax legislation, and the ability to prepare financial statements and tax returns accurately.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or working towards).
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a practice environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, tax returns, and VAT.
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills for client and colleague interactions.
- A proactive attitude, eager to learn and grow.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Supervisory experience is a plus, but not essential.
