Summary:
An experienced Logistics Manager with both transport and warehousing knowledge is required to lead and develop a small team based in Central Bedfordshire. You will be responsible for the compliance of a small fleet and the route scheduling for 7 drivers as well as a team of 4 in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a fleet of 9 vehicles including the maintenance, servicing and MOT, Lifecyle, Insurance and legality
- Scheduling national, daily delivery routes
- Managing 3rd party couriers where necessary
- Manage a team of 7 drivers, their compliance and tachograph requirements
- Be responsible for 4 warehouse staff over 2 sites
- Ensure accurate stock bay fulfilment and stock management between sites
- Schedule daily labour requirements
Experience:
- Previous management experience gained within a distribution environment.
- Able to lead, develop and manage a small team
- Good knowledge of vehicle and driver regulations and their full compliance
- Able to implement cost effective CI measures
- Good communication skills and able to liaise with other department managers as part of the Operations team.
