Production Engineer

Location: Henlow

Salary: £52,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 34.5 hours per week

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a leading company in [Industry Sector]. As a Production Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing operations by identifying inefficiencies, implementing automation solutions, and driving improvements through data analysis and KPI monitoring. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on involvement to ensure optimal production performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and eliminate waste in the production environment to improve overall efficiency.

  • Write and implement capital expenditure (Capex) and business cases to support investment in new technologies and process improvements.

  • Utilize data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint areas for improvement within the manufacturing environment.

  • Convert manual processes to automated systems, enhancing productivity and reducing human error.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to implement solutions effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience in doing so would be advantageous.

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. Training in Six Sigma, 5S, or 8D problem-solving methodologies is equally valuable.

  • Comfortable working in both office settings and hands-on in the production environment.
