Guidant Global is collaborating with a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence to find a skilled Goods Inwards Inspector. This role involves ensuring that goods received from suppliers meet the purchase order criteria and are fully compliant at the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that goods received from suppliers meet purchase order criteria and are fully compliant.
  • Verify and accept procured products in accordance with contractual conditions.
  • Skilled in reading and understanding assembly drawings, with attention to dimensional tolerances and machining.
  • Examine the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing, painting, or surface deterioration, and conduct first-off inspections.
  • Produce relevant inspection and quality control documentation.
  • Check and complete all paperwork associated with delivered articles.
  • Ensure inspection times are met efficiently.
  • Control defect items by segregating them from good products and raising relevant defect reports.
  • Maintain product verification approval processes through regular audits, including PCB inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures related to the manufacturing process.
  • Uphold the highest standards of workmanship and product quality.
  • Contribute to maintaining an orderly and safe working environment.

What do you need?:

  • It is essential to provide a copy of your certificate for a formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship that is at least NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC.
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certification.
  • Manual handling; ESD training.
  • SAP literate is desirable.
  • Must have inspection experience in a goods-in manufacturing environment.
  • Stores experience is highly required (mechanical inspector to the component level)
