The Project

As an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will be playing a significant role on a £20m Hospital Upgrade situated in Hereford. You will also be responsible for overseeing project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective progress. Your main focus will be on executing the upgrade with exceptional efficiency, maintaining the highest quality standards, and achieving a seamless and successful project completion.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  • Proven history of successfully delivering healthcare upgrade schemes with project values in excess of £10m
  • Extensive background within the industry with at least 3 years of experience working in a Site Supervisor position or similar

Additional skills;

  • Quality control
  • Impressive leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Capacity to prioritize health and safety effectively
  • Good knowledge of construction laws and regulations
  • Strong Mechanical or Electrical knowledge (Desirable)
  • A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to finishing tasks
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical systems and structural engineering principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a thorough meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to efficiently utilize tools and equipment relevant to mechanical and structural work

Duties

  • Health & Safety
  • Updating Site Diaries
  • Inductions / Toolbox Talks
  • Reporting regularly to Site Manager
  • Attending and Participating in Project meetings
  • Establish and enforce health and safety protocols at the site
  • Keep precise records of all technical issues and their resolutions
  • Track work expenses to ensure they stay within the allocated budget
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all potential hazards are mitigated
  • Compile and present routine progress reports to project managers and stakeholders
  • Oversee material usage and ensuring that supplies are timely ordered and delivered
  • Perform routine inspections of work, verifying quality and compliance with standards and regulations
  • Generate cost reports and pinpoint opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards
  • Ensuring all documentation, including plans, reports, and records, is up-to-date and properly maintained
  • Develop and maintain plans and schedules for tasks ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones
  • Monitor and manage the daily operations of contractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications
