A farming company with a focus on crops and potatoes.
The Job Role:
A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced farm worker to join a growing team.
Location: Herefordshire
Salary Package: £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary which is inclusive of 500 hours Overtime. After 500 hours overtime has been reached, an hourly overtime rate will be paid alongside the regular salary. The overtime rate will depend on experience.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 39 hours a week. During busy periods, you will be expected to work overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will mainly be working on potato operations, however there will also be assistance required from time to time on other arable operations.
You will be operating a Fendt tractor.
De-stoning
Cultivating
Fertiliser Logistics
Irrigation duties
All aspects of Harvest Work
The role is varied, and no two days are the same.
Candidate Skills and Requirements:
Must have previous experience in operating farm machinery (5+ years preferred)
Previous experience working with potatoes and irrigation is preferred but not essential
A strong attention to detail
Basic maintenance understanding to look after tractors and machinery.
Ability to manage own workload
Pro-active and can-do attitude
Ability to work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Full driving licence
Telehandler/forklift/PA1/PA2 tickets are all desirable but not essential
Any other relevant qualifications and certificates to the above role would be beneficial.
