- Develop and Deliver High-Quality Training: Plan and deliver well-structured, dynamic training sessions tailored to apprentices' learning needs, using up-to-date schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Support and Motivate Learners: Inspire learners by setting clear learning outcomes, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging them to achieve their fullest potential.
- Ensure Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe and fully equipped training environment, perform risk assessments, and align teaching practices with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with line managers, colleagues, and employers to ensure curriculum alignment and offer support to apprentices throughout their learning journey.
- Prepare for Assessments: Track progress, record attendance, and support learners in preparing for assessments, making sure they’re well-equipped to succeed.
- Conduct risk and COSHH assessments, ensure resources are in place, and organize regular reviews with apprentices to track their off-the-job training progress.
- Participate in apprentice residential activities and provide support in physical training activities as needed.
- Qualifications: A Level 3 or higher qualification in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication skills, strong IT proficiency (including Microsoft Office), and a solid understanding of apprenticeship standards and frameworks.
- Personal Attributes: Confidence, flexibility, strong time management, and the ability to work independently are key to this role. You should be motivated to continuously improve your own skills and remain up-to-date through professional development.
