Bids Manager and Co-ordinator - Hereford - up to £50,000 per annum

DCS Tech are working in partnership with our FinTech client to find a passionate Bid Manager and Co-ordinator to join the ever-growing team and be part of a consistently expanding organisation!

Role Overview:

You will be tasked with taking ownership of your work-flow during the organisations end to end bid process. Working with cross-functional teams across the business you will be vital to building relationships with both key internal and external stakeholders. You will foster collaboration and communication that will ultimately lead to successful winning bids!

What will you be up to?

Bid optimisation and strategy

  • Ensure bid submissions are fully optimised against evaluation criteria by effectively managing, motivating, and challenging subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business.
  • Drive collaboration to extract detailed, high-quality content, ensuring proposals meet client requirements and stand out competitively.

Risk management and mitigation

  • Identify and communicate potential risks associated with each bid, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure they are both thoroughly understood and appropriately mitigated.
  • Maintain clear documentation of risk assessments and mitigation strategies to strengthen bid quality and compliance.

Market intelligence and competitive positioning

  • Stay current with market trends and competitor activities by working closely with market intelligence, sales, and product teams.
  • Leverage insights to shape proposals around competitive advantages and strategic differentiators.
  • Ensure bids align with the company's overall go-to-market strategy.

Team leadership and collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a small Bid team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide clear direction, support, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.

Public sector bid delivery

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering complex, high-value public sector bids, preferably within the payments sector.
  • Skilled in managing the full bid life-cycle, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations and delivering compelling, high-quality proposals.

Leadership and team development

  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing team members, fostering their growth and enhancing team performance.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and motivate cross-functional teams.

Analytical and strategic thinking

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions that enhance bid effectiveness.
  • Self-motivated with a relentless drive for results and a strategic mindset to deliver winning bids.

Commercial acumen and stakeholder management

  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand the implications of pricing submissions and shape bids accordingly.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Organisation and attention to detail

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring bid accuracy and compliance.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • APMP practitioner-level qualified.

What can you expect?

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 dependant on experience
