BRAND NEW OPPORTUNITY – PAINT PREPPER – Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday!

We are looking for a Paint Preparation Operative to join a busy manufacturing facility based in Marden. You will be preparing components that have been fabricated on site for production.

Please note, we can only consider candidates with experience in a relevant role for this position!

Day to day you will be:

  • Working in a factory environment, using a range of power tools on a daily basis
  • Preparing fabricated components to be painted
  • Fettling, sanding, shot-blasting, degreasing, sealing, washing of parts
  • Quality checking painted products to ensure there are no faults.
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks on the shot blast.
  • Masking of threads and bores.
  • Packing finished products to be sent to production.
  • Any other duties required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Worked within a similar paint preparation role within a relevant company, ideally in the automotive or a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Worked in a metal fabrication environment
  • Good experience using power tools
  • Experience using shot blasts, with an understanding of maintenance of those.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Good hand eye coordination.
  • A good level of physical fitness – this is a physically demanding role requiring heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
  • A reliable attitude to work demonstrated by a solid CV
  • The ability to work on site in Marden 5 days per week.
