The Role
The PA to the Headmaster and Office Manager will be responsible for efficiently managing the Headmaster’s office and leading the Reception and Administration Team.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain a confidential and well-organised Headmaster’s office
- Provide full administrative support to the Headmaster
- Lead and manage the Reception and Administration Team
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Headmaster’s diary and correspondence effectively
- Draft correspondence, take minutes, and liaise with staff, parents, and governors
- Oversee and manage all Senior School pupil files and some operational staff files
- Work closely with Marketing, Admissions, HR, and the COO
- Line-manage the Senior School Reception and Administration Team
- Assist HR with safer recruitment and other administrative processes
- Coordinate meetings with the Cathedral and the Dean
- Organise and distribute invitations for school events on behalf of the Headmaster
- Maintain and update management information systems, including iSAMS and My School Portal
- Handle general office administration, including mail shots and telephone enquiries
- Coordinate meetings and track progress on key school initiatives
- Positively promote the school and its values in a dynamic and changing environment
Reporting Lines
The post holder reports to the Headmaster and will be assisted by, and have line management responsibility for:
- Senior School Secretary and PA to the Deputy Heads
- Senior School Receptionist
