Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced HR Advisor (Part-Time, Hereford-Based)

About the Role

The HR Advisor will work closely with various clients to deliver HR guidance on a broad range of topics. Key responsibilities include:

  • Employee Relations: Advising on complex cases such as disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, TUPE, redundancy, and appraisals.
  • Policy Development: Collaborating on policy creation and refinement, often in consultation with Trade Union representatives.
  • Training: Designing and delivering HR-focused training sessions to equip clients with best practices.

This role involves managing complex HR issues independently, making professional, on-the-spot decisions as needed. While experience in the education sector is beneficial, it’s not essential—what matters most is a solid HR foundation and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will be CIPD-qualified (or equivalent experience) HR professionals who bring:

  • Proven HR Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR cases autonomously.
  • Employment Law Knowledge: Strong grasp of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: Ability to travel throughout Hereford as needed; own transportation is required.
