IT Operations TechnicianLocation: Hereford 5 days in office Salary : £28000 - £32,000Reference: 1158489Role Overview We are working with a leading global company specializing in innovative and sustainable technology solutions. They are seeking an IT Operations Technician to support, deploy, monitor, and maintain their IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises systems. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, this role involves collaboration with central IT initiatives, teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide second-line support for office-based, remote, and mobile users.
  • Manage second and third-line support for hardware, networks, and applications.
  • Install and configure PCs, software, and applications.
  • Administer servers and monitor systems using appropriate tools.
  • Set up and maintain LAN networks, including switches and access points.
  • Configure and support mobile devices.
  • Participate in IT projects and document processes and troubleshooting guides.
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016-2022, and Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with SCCM, MDM tools, and patching processes.
Desirable:
  • Project management experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science or relevant IT qualifications.
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 or higher.
