A leading developer and manufacturer of complex engineered solutions for use in the construction, civil engineering and high technology sectors has a new vacancy for an Senior Design Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for developing new and innovative products to ensure the company stays at the forefront in the sector. Applicants are sought with strong CAD skills who have a good understanding of engineering design practices and good leadership skills.

Commutable from: Malvern, Hereford, Ledbury, Bromyard, Worcester, Ross on Wye.

The Role:

Research and developments on new & existing products.

Organise & supervise the Engineering Team.

Keep abreast of the latest technology and actively investigate and support ideas to exploit technology and product across all target sectors.

Provide technical support to customers, distributors, governing bodies and colleagues.

Participate in technical reviews of product designs, requirements and specifications as required.

Assist with the quality control of products and supporting the manufacturing processes.

Create, review & update existing technical documentation.

Attend and coordinate testing and trials for new and existing products.

Conduct product/technical presentations to customers, design consultants, colleagues and at industry seminars.

Liaise with internal departments on ideas to enhance product performance & new product ideas.

The Candidate

Good leadership skills, outgoing, confident and articulate.

CAD proficiency (preferably SolidWorks & AutoCAD).

Capability to write technical responses, documentation and manuals.

Confident and highly motivated customer facing engineer with a strong attention to detail.

Excellent communicator & key focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Good understanding of metals manufacturing processes.

Willingness to take on roles, responsibilities and challenges required to achieve company goals.
