Meter Reader

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Meter Reader role in the Hereford area with own transport being required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing sector, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position after 15 weeks. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for visiting residential properties within a defined local area to record meter readings. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while providing excellent service to residents.Key Responsibilities:- Use your own vehicle (with business insurance) to travel to designated locations within your local area- Follow a pre-planned route to visit marked properties.- Knock on doors and inform residents you are collecting meter readings.- Accurately record meter readings using a tablet or mobile phone.- Once a property is completed, move on to the next location and repeat the process.- Travel to different areas as required by your assigned route.Key Requirements:Must own a reliable vehicle with business insurance.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude when dealing with residents.Flexibility to travel between various locations as needed.A DBS check will be required for this role.Whats on offer:£12.60 per hour with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after 15 weeks.Mileage reimbursement at 30.5p per mile.Full-time role (37.5 hours per week).Temporary contract with the potential for long-term employment with our client.Please apply now!
