Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a global manufacturer in Herefordshire to recruit a Quality and Technical Director.

Salary: £90k- £100k +bonus, +health care +enhanced pension

Reporting into the General Manager the Quality and Technical Director will be responsible for a team of 7

Duties of the Quality and Technical Director will include:

  • Ensures that all employees perform their job in a safe manner, are properly trained and communicated with effectively
  • Investigate all significant opposing quality trends and implements corrective actions
  • Produce action plans for key processes to provide continuing improvements
  • Develop and execute specific identified improvement plans for specific products
  • Work with other departments to ensure quality is achieved at every stage
  • Develops Company processes and new products to meet objectives
  • Maintain up to date methods of manufacturing and other operating procedures
  • Maintain all company quality systems, procedures and certifications, and ensures that appropriate accreditations are obtained
  • Ensure that products are tested to the correct standards
  • Own the Zero Defects Program and NPDI process

We would be keen to speak with Quality and Technical Directors with the following skills:

  • Degree qualified in Metallurgy or Materials Science.
  • Experienced in metallurgy and have a proven track record in a similar environment.
  • Skilled in leadership and possess strong communication abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

This role would suit someone with a technical background in metallurgy and a passion for driving quality and operational excellence within a manufacturing setting.
