Bid Manager
If you are you an experienced Bid Manager looking to take ownership of the end-to-end bid process in a growing and dynamic business, this company is expanding, and are seeking a motivated and strategic individual to join their team.
Our client is a successful, owner-led company that takes pride in delivering exceptional service and client satisfaction within the payments sector. As Bid Manager, you will lead and manage the bid process, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to submit award-winning bids.
This role is based in the Hereford office, but travel across the UK will be required for events and client visits when not attending over Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimise bids, ensuring alignment with evaluation criteria by effectively managing, motivating, and directing subject matter experts.
- Identify and communicate risks for each bid, collaborating across teams to mitigate and address potential challenges.
- Stay updated on the competitive marketplace, working with market intelligence, sales, and product teams to shape proposals around competitive advantages and strategy.
- Lead and motivate a small Bid team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Skills and experience required to excel in this role:
- Proven experience in delivering complex, high-value public sector bids, (ideally within the payments industry)
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decisions.
- A self-starter with a relentless drive for results and a strategic mindset.
- Strong commercial acumen, particularly in relation to pricing submissions.
- The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- APMP qualification at Practitioner level (preferred)
Location - Hereford
Salary - £40 - £50k (depending on experience)
