Hours of work: 8.30am – 4.30pm
Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Co-ordinator to join a friendly family run team working from our head offices at Hereford HR1, with the opportunity to increase time with growth, the purpose of the role will include;
Responsibilities:
About The Role:
To assist with the management of all external consultants to the technical team in the production of all drawings for the design and construction of new housing site developments along with private renovation contracts. To follow a brief from the internal and external stakeholders, negotiate with the appropriate authorities to obtain satisfactory approvals in order to deliver within the project deadlines. Coordinating technical specifications for distribution to the construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
General:
Compliance
· Assist the Technical Manager to ensure that all required regulations and permits are complied with.
Project Planning & Coordination:
· Work closely with project managers, architects, and designers to ensure that the technical aspects of the build are accurately executed.
· Create technical specifications and ensure they are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
· Coordinate between different teams (design, procurement, construction etc.) to keep the project on track.
Design Review & Implementation:
· Working with the Technical Manager throughout the design process to ensure all architectural plans are technically feasible, meeting building codes and regulations,
· Ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are arranged in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance & Control:
· Assist to identify the root cause of any reported defects
· Conduct regular site visits to assess adherence to technical and client specifications.
Technical Support:
· Assist with addressing technical issues during construction, offering solutions to any problems that arise.
· Provide guidance to Site Managers and contractors on technical matters and best practices.
Supply Chain & Resource Management:
· Liaise with procurement team to source materials that meet technical and quality standards.
Management & Budgeting:
· Have an awareness of the technical budget, to assist in the maintenance of the project financial constraints, while meeting all technical requirements.
· Identify areas where costs can be reduced without compromising quality, safety, or compliance with technical requirements.
Reporting:
· Provide regular updates to Technical Manager & Construction Managers on technical progress, risks, compliance and issues.
· Facilitate effective communication among different teams to ensure everyone is aligned on technical requirements.
Sustainability & Innovation:
· Research sustainable building practices and consider energy-efficient technologies where possible.
· Stay up to date with industry innovations to incorporate new methods and materials that could improve the build quality or reduce costs.
· Any other duties required by the Technical Manager.
· To take care of your own health and safety and that of others and adhere to the Health & Safety standards.

· Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life.

· External: Stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Contractors, Suppliers, Utility Providers, Warranty, Building Control.
