We are currently recruiting for a permanent Multi Skilled Engineer join a well-established client based in Hereford 

Our client is a busy manufacturing company and as such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team.

Contract: Perm

Shifts:

Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts rotating on a rota consisting of Early, Days and Afternoon shifts.

40 hours a week

Salary: : £18.03 P/H 

The main purpose of the role is maintaining, repairing, and improving various equipment, systems, and facilities within an organization. This role requires expertise in multiple engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, and sometimes even software or HVAC systems.

Responsibilities and Activities

Maintenance & Repair:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime through efficient repairs.

installation & Commissioning:

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Ensure that installations meet operational and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues and develop long-term solutions.

 Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications.
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure that work practices adhere to safety protocols.

  Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, operations, and other departments to minimize disruptions and optimize equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

Essential Skill Requirements

3+ years industrial electrical experience.

Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.

Skills & Abilities

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.

Ability and Confidence in using a range of IT software including regular use of Microsoft packages

Be Capable of working alone whilst also being an affective team player.

Ability to write clear and Concise evidence-based reports
