Job Title: Care & Support Worker - Herefordshire

Role Summary:

The Care & Support Worker plays a vital role in our organization, providing essential support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. You will work closely with service users to help them achieve their goals and maintain a good quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care:
    • Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
    • Provide support with medication administration
    • Ensure the comfort and well-being of service users
  • Domestic Support:
    • Assist with household tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry
    • Maintain a safe and supportive living environment
  • Community Support:
    • Accompany service users on outings and activities
    • Support service users in accessing community resources
    • Promote social inclusion and independence
  • Emotional Support:
    • Provide emotional support and encouragement to service users
    • Listen to and validate service user concerns
    • Help service users develop coping strategies
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service user care
    • Complete necessary documentation, including incident reports and care plans
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 2)
  • Experience working with individuals with support needs (Min. 6 months)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care
