About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will work closely with the team to ensure a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Care & Support:

  • Provide direct care and support to children and young people with EBD.
  • Implement and oversee individual care plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with Support Workers and other staff members.
  • Foster a positive, person-centred, and therapeutic environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the service.

Training & Development:

  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Support and mentor junior staff members.
  • Opportunity to pursue Level 5 in Management and Leadership (Children’s) if desired.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a children’s residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
  • Passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
