Location:Â South Hertfordshire
Contract:Â 3 months with a chance to extend
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm
Hourly rate: £18 through an umbrella company/ £15.82 PAYE including holiday pay
Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team. In this role you will work with adults with mental ill health diagnosis providing housing related support to promote independence with a view to move on into independent living within a period of 3-5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily duties:
- Working with a caseload of clients
- Supporting people suffering from mental health issues
- Carrying out support plans and risk assessments
- Teaching life skills and preparing clients to live independently in the community
- Supporting clients with budgeting and applying for housing benefits to reduce rent arrears
- Promoting independence at all times
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- Updating notes and records ensuring they are concise and accurate
Requirements:
- Ideally have an enhanced DBS certificate from the last 3 years or willing to apply for one
- Would require a driving licence and use of own car.
There will be lone working, lone working device will be provided.
