Interim Head of Service

Contract: 3 months+
Location: Plough Lane, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR4 0LE
Hours: Full time - 37 hours
Pay: 52.53 per hour umbrella - Negotiable.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamicInterim Head of Serviceto lead and oversee our adult social work services. This critical leadership position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring high standards of practice, compliance with legislation, and delivery of exceptional outcomes for individuals requiring support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complex, safeguarding and legal case challenges.
• Ensure compliance with the Care Act and related legislation.
• Oversee safeguarding enquiries, adhering to Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
• Collaborate with partners to deliver high-quality services.
• Oversee social work teams and ensure operational spend is managed and performance

About You:

• Registered Social Worker with professional qualification.
• Strong background in adult social work, safeguarding, legal frameworks, and team leadership.
• Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• This is a critical leadership role requiring immediate availability.
