Hours: 4 days per week, part of a 7-day service

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior CAMHS Practitioner to join our Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment Team (CAHTT). Based in Aconbury, Worcester, this role provides specialist mental health support across Worcestershire, supporting children and young people experiencing mental health crises. The successful candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Social Worker (SW), or Occupational Therapist (OT) with recent experience in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, crisis intervention and assessment services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide therapeutic support and implement evidence-based interventions, with a focus on CBT and/or DBT techniques.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop, monitor, and review care plans.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of mental health services across Worcestershire, ensuring accessible and compassionate care.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to regulatory and organizational guidelines.
  • Contribute to team meetings, supervision, and continuous service improvement initiatives within CAHTT.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Registration as an RMN, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist.
  • Clinical Training: Demonstrated CBT/DBT clinical training within the last 3 years (proof required at application submission).
  • Experience: Previous experience in CAMHS or working with children/adolescents in mental health settings is essential.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills in mental health assessment, risk management, and therapeutic intervention.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work across a 7-day service.
