RPG Analyst Programmer - remote options available

Are you an RPG programming expert looking for an exciting challenge? We are seeking a talented individual to take responsibility for the ongoing development of our clients in-house business systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both high-level strategic planning and hands-on support, and who can communicate effectively with senior management while also handling day-to-day user queries.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of in-house business systems.
Collaborate with senior directors, advising on future system direction and improvements.
Provide user support and troubleshooting for day-to-day issues regarding business systems and IBM i.
Operate with autonomy, using your initiative to find solutions to problems and challenges.

Essential Skills:

Strong in-depth programming skills.
Proven experience in system analysis and design.
Confidence in communicating with senior management and end users alike.
Up-to-date RPG IV/ILE programming skills.
Proficiency in SQL.

Desirable skills:

Experience with modern development tools such as IBM RDi or Visual Studio Code with Code for IBM i extension.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
Knowledge or understanding of accounting and payroll systems.
Knowledge of Node.js or other open-source languages.
Experience with web design and development, including HTML and JavaScript.
Familiarity with Windows Server, Office 365, and AWS.
