RPG Analyst Programmer - remote options available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of in-house business systems.
  • Collaborate with senior directors, advising on future system direction and improvements.
  • Provide user support and troubleshooting for day-to-day issues regarding business systems and IBM i.
  • Operate with autonomy, using your initiative to find solutions to problems and challenges.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong in-depth programming skills.
  • Proven experience in system analysis and design.
  • Confidence in communicating with senior management and end users alike.
  • Up-to-date RPG IV/ILE programming skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with modern development tools such as IBM RDi or Visual Studio Code with Code for IBM i extension.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
  • Knowledge or understanding of accounting and payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of Node.js or other open-source languages.
  • Experience with web design and development, including HTML and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Office 365, and AWS.
