Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit an HGV Mechanic to join their team in Hereford. 

As an HGV Mechanic, the successful individual will ensure the efficient use of resources with regard to equipment, installations, vehicles, materials and personnel.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week. However, my client will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organising effective operational procedures and methods to ensure that contract requirements are met in accordance with the Company policies.
  • Ensuring that all work allocated is completed to an acceptable standard, regarding time and objectives.
  • Ensuring that regulations are implemented and maintained in respect of the Health and Safety at Work Act and other statutory regulations.
  • Participating with ongoing training to remain sufficiently skilled and to be able to fulfil their duties.
  • Preparing and submitting relevant paperwork / worksheets / records, etc.
  • Ensuring all operations are legally compliant and systems and procedures work within the quality and environmental systems in place.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good computer skills (excel).
  • The ability to operate other electronic equipment relevant to the task.
  • Previous experience is essential.
