Your Role as an HLTA:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers by delivering pre-planned lessons and activities
  • Lead small groups and individual interventions to help students achieve their potential
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring all students are supported
  • Work with students who have special educational needs (SEN)and adapt learning plans accordingly
  • Take responsibility for managing behaviour in the classroom and creating a positive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and help with assessments

HLTA Teaching Assistant - Herne Bay

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 5 CACHE qualification or above, or extensive experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • Proven experience in a school environment, iHerne Bayly across primary and/or secondary settings
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students

  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
