Eden Brown Synergy has exciting opportunities for Experienced and Senior Residential Support Workers to join an established group providing children's residential care (7-17 years - LD |EBD) and supported living services for young people (16+) towards successful transitioning into adulthood and independence.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide advice, assistance and support to young people, safeguarding their welfare at all times. To attend to young people's practical, physical and emotional needs.

To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.

The qualifying criteria:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification - Childcare | Children and Young People
  • Ideally a full and clean UK Driving Licence
  • Previous Residential Care Work experience
  • Previous experience of working with Children
  • Outdoor pursuits with young people
  • Shift working
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with young people forming and maintaining appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people
  • Awareness of young people's needs
  • Awareness of safeguarding issues and ability to safeguard the welfare of young people
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in partnership and liaise with other professionals
  • Basic household skills
  • Ability to recognise and acknowledge training needs and respond appropriately
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
