Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for a Registered Manager for a Residential Children's Home in South East England.

The Registered Manager would be an ambitious leader required to manage the day to day operations of the home.

This opportunity would require the Registered Manager to develop and grow this new service and make a difference supporting the children/young people to achieve the best possible outcomes. The environment supports children (7-17 years) with LD | EBD for long to medium term planned and emergency admissions.

The ideal person for this Registered Manager position would a strong, dedicated, and ambitious manager, who is passionate about working with children and young people creating a safe, comfortable and caring home environment.

The purpose of this role:

  • The Registered Manager would ensure the Statement of Purpose is in place and is appropriate to the service provision.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day running of this new home its service delivery, shaping and growth, as well as promoting a safe and supportive environment ensuring the best possible care is delivered to the children and young people at all times.
  • To lead and manage a team in the Children's Home and supervise the delivery of placement plans, risk assessments and behavioural management plans for the children and young people in the home.
  • To provide high quality care services that actively supports the varying needs of the children and young people in the care of the home.
  • To provide motivational leadership and be a role model to the staff team and maintain the smooth running of the home
    To be responsible for the health & safety and home maintenance
  • Complying with the Children's Home Regulation 2015, Quality Standards, Ofsted inspection framework, local authority's expectations and the home Statement of Purpose.

Requirements:

  • A level 5 Management and Leadership Diploma in Health & Social Care, Residential Care for Children and Young People
  • Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children and worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • Knowledge of management of budgets and staff rotas
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, Ofsted Inspection framework, Children's Home Regulation 2015, Quality Standards
