They are seeking a highly competent and motivated Management Accountant to join their friendly, supportive and energetic finance Team, based at Head Office near Hertford.The business is known for delivering exceptional customer service with a focus on people and as such is seeking a motivated individual with a passion for making a difference and working in a collaborative team-based environment.Main Duties and Responsibilities:* Production of end of month management accounts to tight deadlines and variance analysis to budgets* Assisting the finance manager with the production of the KPI pack.* Creation of monthly accruals and prepayment journals, analysing nominal ledger and correction of entries as required* Monthly Balance Sheet recs, ensuring correct treatment of Accruals & Provisions and appropriately supported* Ensuring and maintaining strict financial controls throughout the company with compliance to accounting standards.* Provide Budget Holders with regular expenditure and analysis v Budget.* Analysing of sales performance alongside the operations director and finance director to identify areas of improvement in the business.* Acting as a key contact with the Auditors at year end and introducing new improved processes.* Assisting with VAT returns* Complex bank reconciliation and redesign of the process* Taking on ad hoc projects to assist the accounting team with automation and process efficiencies * Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.What you'll need to be successful:* Part Qualified or Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA* At Least 5 years accounting experience* Previous management accounting experience* Strong Excel Spreadsheet skills* Strong commercial awareness and experience in supporting a team.* Able to work effectively with other departments to deliver results on time.* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.AGY - Vitae Financial RecruitmentWe Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration
