We are creating a new role of Accounts Assistant, for someone who is willing to learn various aspects of Accounts. Must have at least 2 years of experience or working in accounts, within an office environment.

Someone studying for accounts qualifications would be considered.

The Interlinked group of companies consists of 4 entities: Interlinked Ltd, Interlinked Facilities Management, Interlinked Fire & Security and Interlinked Group. It is a rapidly growing company, currently posting over £12 million turnover.

The role is based at our modern office in Hertford, but once embedded there is the option for occasional working from home.

Good knowledge of Excel is essential.

Ability to use an accounting package is essential (Knowledge of Xero would be useful)

Knowledge of UK VAT and CIS rules required.

Tasks include:

Working with the Purchase Ledger Manager to post and process invoices. This is both invoices for materials and for CIS subcontractors. You will need to ensure that invoices are authorised and to then complete a pay run in our Xero Accounting software.

  • Reconciling Statements and answering Purchase Ledger queries.
  • Posting expenses and reconciling all the credit card accounts, this is cleared down each day.
  • Creating project reports in Excel for Company Management, from information in Xero.
  • Looking after and reconciling the fixed asset register, all new invoices that are capital purchases need to be included on the fixed asset register and a depreciation journal needs to be posted each month.
  • Reconciling the intercompany accounts and raising intercompany invoices.
  • Assisting the Accounts Manager with the Management Accounts, for all four companies.
  • Producing the Management Accounts for Interlinked Group, (training will be given)
  • Assisting with the year end accounts pack.
  • Assisting with any other accounts tasks as required.
  • Any other tasks that are required from Management Team
