We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef for a busy country pub in the Hertfordshire area. Ideal candidate will have gained basic experience of working in a commercial kitchenassistingthe head chef in preparing and presenting awide range of food. This role would suit someone who is looking to develop their experience and skills learning from the Head Chef.
Job specification
- Assist the chef with food preparation and presentation.
- Perform basic tasks including chopping and slicing.
- Follow recipe instructions accurately.
- Always keep the kitchen clean and hygienic.
- Communicate effectively with the head Chef.
- Adhere to kitchen policy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience of working in a commercial kitchen
- Access to a car essential due to rural location
- Experience of food preparation
- Able to multitask effectively.
- Effective communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Passion for food and learning new skills.
- Excellent work ethic
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Fundamental understanding of food hygiene procedures
