Electrical Qualified Supervisor

Hertford

£45-£50k plus Van and fuel card

General Description

The post holder will be responsible for a team of electrical engineers who carry out electrical testing & inspection (EICRs) and remedial works in social housing / local authority properties.

They will be responsible for ensuring the work completed by their team is to specification, compliant with current regulations and to the standards required by the company.

The role will be a mixture of working from the company offices in Hertford and mobile working (London & Surrounding Counties).

The post holder is required to be a registered NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Supervision of a team of electrical engineers

- On the job supervision visits to engineers

- Delivering toolbox talks

- Carry out electrical testing, inspection, installation and maintenance works as required

- Ensure safe working procedures in accordance with the current health and safety regulations and all other relevant regulations.

- Post inspections of work carried out by engineers

- Reviewing and signing off certification completed by engineers

- NICEIC registered Qualified Supervisor

- Training and developing engineers

- Work specifications

- Preparing quotations

- Interpret electrical / site drawings when necessary

- Communicate with clients, residents and colleagues when required

- Deliver exceptional customer service

- Adhere to any company policy

- To undertake any training provided by the company

- To Support any business change for the benefit of the company

- Any ad-hoc duties as reasonably instructed by your line manager or directors

Required Skills & Experience

- Good knowledge of the electrical industry & current regulations

- Extensive knowledge of the testing and inspection procedure

- Electrical installation experience

- Experience of fault finding on electrical systems

- Experience in the completion of electrical certification

- Experience reviewing electrical reports/certification

- Supervision Experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Good IT skills

- Administrative skills

- Positive attitude and time keeping Qualifications

- City and Guilds NVQ level 3 electrotechnical qualification or equivalent

- AM2 practical assessment preferred

- Completed apprenticeship preferred

- City and Guilds 2391-51 or equivalent

- City and Guilds 2382-18 - BS7671 18th Edition update

- Asbestos Awareness.

You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months .

Work status- Full time.

Travel and Hours In order to perform your duties, you may be asked to travel to locations around the United Kingdom to undertake assignments. You will be required to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day with an hour's un-paid break, with the core hours of work being 8:00am to 17:00pm; however, timings can be made more flexible in certain circumstances. In addition to your normal hours, you will also be required to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, with reasonable notice. This could include un-sociable hours such as evenings and weekends.

Reporting- You will report to the Contracts Manager
