Project Delivery Manager required for a well-established and reputable engineering company based in Herford that designs, manufactures, and installs noise and vibration control equipment in the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Delivery Manager to work from their busy head office in Hertford.

Project Delivery Manager Overview:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the project delivery team, including Project Managers and support staff, to ensure operational excellence.
  • Establishing and managing efficient project delivery processes, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Driving strategic planning and risk management to mitigate potential project challenges and optimize delivery outcomes.
  • Conducting performance reviews (PDRs) and 1:1 meetings, identifying training needs, and overseeing professional development.
  • Managing the full project lifecycle from contract award to completion, ensuring seamless execution
  • Monitoring project financials, resource allocation, and cost controls to maintain profitability and efficiency.
  • Overseeing project KPIs and reporting insights to the Head of Projects for data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with H&S, quality, and statutory regulations while maintaining industry best practices
  • Strengthening relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to enhance collaboration and communication.
  • Resolving escalations effectively and proactively addressing project risks and issues.
  • Championing innovation and efficiency within project delivery to support the company's continued growth.

Project Delivery Manager Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant training/qualifications, including NVQ or degree in relevant subjects, SMSTS/IOSH training, and CSCS Manager Card.
  • A UK driving license.
  • A passport and willingness to travel abroad for work with the occasional overnight stay.
  • A growth mindset.
  • A highly proactive mentality with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills.

Project Delivery Manager Remuneration:

  • Basic salary: £60k to £65k per annum
  • Laptop and phone
  • Company car after the qualifying period.
  • 25 days per annum (3 days to be taken between Christmas and New Year).
  • Private Health Insurance after the qualifying period.
