The Opportunity

Join our Client as a Property Solicitor and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal services. You will manage a diverse caseload encompassing property law and other legal matters critical to operations and external clients.

Accountabilities

  • Manage a caseload focusing on property matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice on property and local government law.
  • Negotiate on behalf of the Client in property transactions.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents including leases, agreements, and reports.
  • Support Committee meetings and provide legal expertise as required.
  • Maintain and update legal documents and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide regular management information and contribute to performance standards.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Qualified Solicitor, Cilex Fellow, or Barrister.
  • Extensive experience in property law, handling transactions, agreements, and complex legal issues.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and providing clear, pragmatic advice.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with senior officers and elected members.
