Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant

  • Annual Salary: £26k - £28k

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Credit Control:
    • Proactively chase late/non-payments via telephone and email, converting outstanding debts into paid invoices.
  • Sales Ledger:
    • Onboard new customers and manage their accounts seamlessly.
    • Issue pro-forma invoices and ensure monthly customer statements are timely and accurate.
    • Retrieve missing Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and handle customer queries efficiently.
  • Sales Order Input:
    • Process sales orders efficiently on Sage, keeping our sales pipeline up to date.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Maintain organised accounts paperwork and ensure easy accessibility.
    • Scan supplier invoices to our server for a seamless digital workflow.
    • Handle various ad-hoc duties, contributing to the dynamic nature of our work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Eagerness to learn with an interest in working towards an AAT qualification (full training provided).
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Sage 50 accounts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
