About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Working closely with class and subject teachers, you will assist in the classroom, supporting individual pupils or small groups, and ensuring they can fully engage with their lessons. Your responsibilities will include helping with assessment tasks, preparing displays, and managing administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the classroom. You will also provide support to students with additional needs, working alongside professionals such as speech therapists and supporting emotional or behavioural development. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere and promoting the school's ethos both inside and outside the classroom. Your role is vital in helping create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.

This is a permanent, part-time 0.8 FTE role needed term-time with a September 2025 start date.

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have experience working with children, preferably in EYFS, KS1, or KS2, and be able to assist in meeting the diverse needs of pupils, including those with additional learning challenges.
