Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager Job Vacancy

This leading accountancy firm is looking for a supervisor skilled in the provision of both audit and general accounting to join their team in Hertfordshire to support the Client and Audit Managers leading a thriving team, both in the office and on-site preparing audits in the field.

This opportunity will suit someone who is ACA,?ACCA or CA qualified, with at least two years of post qualification audit experience within an accountancy practice.

You’ll have been working at a senior level and have some experience of mentoring and supporting junior team members. You’ll be able to effectively communicate technical matters in an easy-to-understand way for clients and a high level of attention to detail will also be essential for this role. You’ll also be used to assessing risk and advising clients on potential solutions relevant to their audit investigations, accounting scenarios and findings.

The successful candidate will be supervising the provision of all general audit and accounting services to a large portfolio of clients. As such, the successful candidate will need to be adept at the provision of all services in the fields of audit, general accounting and tax.

Job Purpose

  • Manage audits from planning to completion.
  • Review of audit risk analysis.
  • Audit planning and sign off.
  • Plan audit tests.
  • Document audit findings.
  • Research and document other miscellaneous issues of relevance to audits.
  • Oversee the provision of general accounting services.
  • Corporate tax computations.
  • Mentor new trainees?and support with their learning and development.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure these are met.
  • Lead and inspire a team of auditors in the office and in the field.
  • Able to work alongside and part of the senior management team and support with company growth.
  • Ability to identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients
  • Confident in supporting the Partners in networking activities to promote the department
  • Provide professional client-facing communication skills
  • Set an example for the team as a natural leader
