Job SummaryOur client is seeking a motivated and skilled Warehouse Foreman with expertise as a FLT & Counterbalance Driver to join their team in Hemel Hempstead. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse and yard, maintaining high standards and professionalism.

This role involves hands-on work in warehouse administration, forklift operations, and assisting with the secure handling of goods. Comprehensive training will be provided to enhance your skills in all aspects of warehouse management and paperwork.

Key Competencies

  • Valid counterbalance/reach truck license.
  • Excellent operating skills with Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations and environments.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven customer care abilities.
  • Reliable, responsible, and presentable.
  • Physically fit and healthy.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Holder of a valid UK passport or working visa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering emails, calls, and visitor queries.
  • Resolve general warehouse and administrative queries.
  • Operate forklifts to manage container placement within stacks.
  • Ensure accurate logging, paperwork, and data entry for all received/dispatched items.
  • Update location records and maintain system accuracy for inventory management.
  • Assist in loading/unloading vehicles and preparing goods for transportation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Cover supervisory responsibilities and holiday absences when needed.
  • Follow company Health & Safety policies and the Working Time Directive.
  • Actively participate in training and professional development programs.
