This client specialises in the design and manufacturing of custom-based mechanical products for a global market, therefore the need to attract an experienced and skilled assembly operative is now required for this busy operation. Dedicated to producing high-quality, manufactured parts and products, this client is looking to appoint an Assembly Operative on a permanent day shift, working Monday to Friday with an annual salary of £26,000 plus plenty of paid overtime and a range of highly attractive employee benefits. skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Operative to join our team in the Southeast.

Job Description: As an Assembly Operative, our key responsibilities will include the accurate assembling of mechanical components and products according to customer specifications. You will work closely with the Production Team Leader and immediate team, ensuring that all assemblies meet quality-engineered standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components and products following detailed instructions and customer specifications
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for quality and accuracy, completing the inspection documentation in line with company standards
  • Use of hand tools and machinery to complete assembly tasks (Micrometres used for highly precise measurements of small dimensions, such as thickness or diameter)
  • The use of Callipers used for measuring internal and external dimensions, as well as depths.
  • The ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
  • Report any issues or defects to the Team Leader, especially at pre-production stage
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a mechanical assembly or manufacturing role is preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
