About the role:

An established provider of mental health services is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with both adult and adolescent service users in a specialist mental health setting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Occupational Therapy service across both CAMHS and Adult mental health services.
  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centred assessments and interventions.
  • Oversee and coordinate individual treatment plans, ensuring effective therapy delivery.
  • Support service users in developing coping strategies, rehabilitation, and independent living skills.
  • Lead and manage a team of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and students.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care.
  • Engage families in the care process, particularly in complex CAMHS cases.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification UK experience.
  • Significant experience working in mental health settings, including both CAMHS and adult services.
  • Experience in an inpatient environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
