Our client in Hertford is seeking a Payroll Assistant for a four-month temporary assignment. This role involves managing a weekly payroll for 2,000 employees and a monthly payroll for 500 employees. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with the Earnie Payroll system.
Day-to-day of the role:- Processing weekly payroll for 2,000 employees and monthly payroll for 500 employees.
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations.
- Handling payroll queries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles.
- Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Proven experience in payroll processing.
- Must have experience using the Earnie Payroll system.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
