Production SupervisorLocation: Hertford, HertfordshireHours: 8:15am – 4:45pm (Monday to Thursday), 8:15am – 1:15pm (Friday) | 37 hours per weekSalary:  Up to £35,000 per annum (DOE)Overview:A leading UK manufacturer specialising in high-quality equipment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities. This hands-on role requires effective leadership, strong organisational skills, and the ability to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the production team to meet daily targets and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Work Instructions (WOI).
  • Monitor workflow, troubleshoot production issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Train, coach, and manage the performance of production staff to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct planning meetings with sales and production teams to align on priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
Skills and Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within manufacturing/production.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and workflow optimisation.
  • Interest in mechanical products and understanding of how devices work.
  • Experience with MRP systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
